This weekend, our eldest daughter, her man and his four-year-old daughter
came for the weekend. So on a gloriously sunny autumn afternoon,
Rudy and I decided a trip to Howell's Pumpkin Farm was necessary.
There were skeletons in a pick-up-truck...
rows and rows of carved pumpkins...
photo ops at every turn...
goats...
singing frogs...
a hay-barn to play in...
roosters...
fashionistas...
a bucking cow train ride...
a giant pumpkin pillow...
calves...
and Jacob sheep.
All great fun, but a little exhausting for a four-year-old.
So, Rudy decided when they got home while Lindsay, Dan and I prepared dinner, it was time for a cuddle on the couch
and a few instructional lessons on golf and football!
Happy Monday everyone!
Sounds like a great fun day out.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a little girl loves her golf instructor, isn't it a beautiful thing the way little ones love the PaPa's of the world, it also looks like a wonderful place to visit so different from here.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many fun things to do with children in the fall. We were all set to do our annual apple picking adventure with the graddaughters yesterday, but that darn soccer (which is a plague on society) interferred with that. The older they get, the more "other" things they have to do. Oh well, so is life.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful day.
What a gorgeous little girl she is...her hair is such a pretty colour. I miss pumpkin picking with my kids....
ReplyDeleteIt looked like a wonderful day out. We are expecting our grand daughter, who is visiting from Melbourne, in an hour or so. Great excitement - she is 23 and we haven't seen her for two years.
ReplyDeleteI'm exhausted just by reading about it all.
ReplyDeletePumpkin fun! Looks like a grand day J., I have my two boys this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThree days on, and I'm still cleaning up hay - hahaha!
ReplyDeleteOh, it looks like you had a great time at the pumpkin farm. You know, we still love going there even though the kids are all grown. There's just something about the pumpkins and apple cider.
