Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

    1. What IS the matter with us John the Dogs - is NO not in our vocabulary? Couldn't even imagine having all this company in the rain (and looking after your passel of animals).

  4. Weatherwise, it's as if your neck-of-the-woods is in the same spot as our neck-of-the-woods. No doubt that's why the French liked Canada so much.

May I award you an imaginary blog-award for 'elegance and sophistication'.

    1. Well, thank you kind sir!
The rain yesterday was heaven-sent...it seems to have broken the heat-wave. My only fear is that it was the fringes of Isaac which seems to be headed towards the Louisianna coast - just like his sister Katrina did some years ago about this time of year.

  5. Isn't it wonderful when the first rain comes? Feeding our plants and washing things down.. and the air smells so good! Sounds like the perfect summer with all the house guests. Lots of work but the reward is memories in the making!

  6. I just need someone to schedule guests for me a little better Leslie...I love having them here...all the laundry however - loving it not so much!

Poured, poured, poured rain here the other day - simply marvelous to stay indoors and watch it all, and now everything looks lovely and green outside again.
