Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

J.  Last day of food week... tonight I'm making this:

JACKIE'S SHRIMP TAPAS
1 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic,chopped
1lb shrimp cleaned, de-veined, tail on
olive oil
zest of 1 lime
1/4 c white wine
parsley, chopped
salt, pepper
1 - Saute shrimp in a little olive oil until pink.
2 - Add garlic, saute one minute more.
3 - Add wine, zest, parsley toss with butter
4 - Season with salt and pepper.
5 - Serve with lightly toasted baguette rubbed with garlic clove
except I'm going to serve them over fragrant jasmine rice with an asparagus salad.  Mmmmmmm.

  1. Please don't end "Food Week"! It's been wonderful! How about a "Food Day" each week?
