Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

The Heat...

Interesting thing.  Last week, when our temperatures were just about idyllic and humidity levels exactly where they should be, I had a terrible time dragging my lazy derriere out the door to get some exercise.  This week, however, I've been out in swelteringly hot, humid temperatures every day, without fail.

Is it my muscle-memories of our days running laps in Lumpini Park when we lived in Bangkok?

or perhaps all those hot yoga classes I've taken?

No...actually I think it's fear...Victoria arrives in three days and somehow I've got to whip myself in to  shape so that I can keep up with her for a week!

Seriously Sis...can't wait for you to get here!

  2. Ah, a little sibling rivalry to get you going eh? Just teasing. I am sure you guys will have so much fun. I do hope it cools a wee bit though. This is just energy draining.

  5. HaHaHa!! Thanks for the comment, Jacqueline! Spain started out slow, but they're definitely going to be tough for my Orange team to beat!! Hope you're surviving the heat and humidity... we're only just starting to get hot weather here in Vancouver. It's about time!
