Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

Songs We Love

"...Well, I'm rumblin' in this JCB
I'm five years old and my dad's a giant sitting beside me...
...The engine rattles my bum like berserk...
...don't forget your shovel if you want to go to work!
An' we' re holdin up the bypass, whoa oh...
me and my Dad having a top laugh..."

J. Ever since I first heard this song, about a month ago, it has stayed in my head...no, seriously I'm not kidding, I hear it all the time. I love the tune, his voice, but more importantly his sincerity shines through. It's just like when you take a photo of someone you love, it is always a beautiful photo. I just think when he wrote this song, this young man meant every single word...and I love that.

V. When I listen to this song I can see and feel the love of this five year old for his dad...it is simple and brilliant...it is real...and I love that.
