Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

Clever Old Stick

ME!

While at the Apple Store today  - MAC needed a little TLC,
I found a doodad

that attaches to a thingamy

and now I can use what I had previously categorized
as too-many-electronics-in-one-house-for-two-people,

as a monitor so I can watch movies and podcasts in my kitchen on a larger screen
and at the same time keeping my computer well away from drips and splatters.

Haven't quite figured out how to get sound from the monitor
instead of MAC,
(I fear it may mean another whachamacallit).

But sometimes I AM such a clever old stick.

So, for all you techo-wannabies, like me, out there:

  1. Yes - that is clever. I've been trying to find a 'dongle' (snigger) that sends internet radio from my Mac to the digital radio in the kitchen, but everyone tells me it can't be done. I don't believe them. What do you think, technowizard?

  2. Love it Jacqueline!! We have been looking at a thinkamy to watch movies stored on my daughters laptop so we can watch them on the TV. The conversation at the Apple store went along the same way as the video clip. I went home, popped onto Amazon and ordered them on DVD. A girl can only handle so much :)

  3. Not a clue Tom...but if you figure it out, let me know because that would be very cool.
Jeanne, I get it when you head starts to hurt with all this stuff, but it is worth working out. Movies from a laptop to TV should be entirely do-able!
