Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

When I'm Feeling Blue...

All I have to do is
take a look at you
then I'm not so blue.

When I'm in your arms
Doesn't seem to matter
 My whole world would shatter, I don't care...

What I love about your bloggers is when I get to that point
 (you know, you've been there)
I open up your blog and find you, going about life,

dealing with the crap;

telling me about your hopes and dreams;

making a delicious meal;

giving away angel wings

...wouldn't you agree, baby you and me, got a groovy kind of love?

thanks Phil for the song.

    No blues or sadness allowed. Just think about the next day and how awesome that will feel.

    My son's BFF became a father today. I feel reborn!

  3. Bloggers offer support and glimpses into their sometimes crazy lives, and really just someone being there. I work from home, mostly alone, and find that bloggers are people to have coffee break with.

    Hugs to you today,.

  6. Groovey kinda love!...thats a great little tune and had not thought of it for a long time...another song that sometimes comes to mind is Afternoon Delight...for a different reason ,when you have an aged parent living with you full time, the exciting spur of the moment romantic little moments become a distant memory lol I would not have it any other way,just hope by the time Mum goes to that beautiful place in the sky,I can get out of my walker and sing that song lol...just trying to make you smile.xx

  9. Love the dog picture! And the way you put together the song and the pictures.

    It's the time of year when we all need some brightening up, I think. Check the Australian or New Zealand blogs.

  10. I hope everyone realizes that the line above each photo is a link to each of your beautiful blogs...especially to the posts that have so inspired me of late! And it's only a sampling...I could have gone on all day. Everyone listed on the left-hand side of our blog is a source of inspiration.

  13. The blogging bond is very special...and just know J, that your blog has been there for many of us as well, just like a big hug, offering the same comfort, escape, and beautiful respite needed from our unseemly bluish times also. ♥
