Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

Inspiration

Taking colour inspiration from this...

this is my soon-to-be
summer garden.

We have had a real late start weather-wise,
so they still have some filling-out and growing to do.

but I am pleased with the overall effect.

I think it's going to be pretty.

  8. A beautiful garden! Is that the smiling Buddha I see. I have a Buddha for my Zen garden, but he is not smiling and I think it needs an updating.

SOAC-M...he's actually Ho Tai, a chinese priest, believed to be a future incarnation of the buddha. He carries a sack full of candy because he so loved children. I rub his belly every morning for good luck!
Serene Buddha sits in my front garden hold an unopened lotus to signify one on the beginning of the journey of enlightenment (me!) and a lantern of wisdom.
