Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

And we're off!

Of course we couldn't go round the lake without Miss Molly's
best friend . . . Mr. Murray!

Here's a few pictures from our walk . . .

Katie and the two dogs

This beach is usually packed with kids and families,
not today though!

here's Molly doing what she loves . . .

stealing tossed sticks in the water from Mr. Murray . . .

It's a beautiful walk around this lake

and I never tire of it no matter how many times a week
I come out here.

Today we spotted a Kingfisher bird
and Red Tailed Hawk right in front of us.

Now it's time to head home and get ready for a fun
evening out at the theatre to see Meg Tilly starring as Martha
in 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf' . . .

I'll be back with the review!

Love from Victoria

  2. It would be soooooo wonderful to be with you, my wonderful Kate and the dogs. Thetis lake looks special.
Mary and I broke out the bikes for a ride along the Niagara Parkway in 30 degree weather before a decadent lunch at Inniskillin Vineyard. Paul was sailing and Rudy was...well, being Rudy!
Tomorrow morning...the last round of the Open!!! Can't wait!

  6. I would never tire of a walk like that either.

Imagine, I had to travel all the way to Nepal to see a Kingfisher; but it was worth it.

:) Have a happy day. Tammy

  7. Wonderful scenery to walk in or just to sit and ponder on the reflections of the lake.
Unfortunately our dog Toby does not enjoy swimming, nor does he appreciate being bathed.

  8. Oh, how I would love you to be on that walk with us J.

Now wouldn't life be perfect if dogs liked to drink coffee and read newspapers on Sunday mornings - Miss Molly is sitting by the door again!
