My best friend loves Labour Day.
Not because of anything to do with celebration of the worker,
or the Labour Movement.
Summer is winding down
Today is the Air Show,
which means it's the final day of the CNE
(Canadian National Exhibition)
which means it's the final day of the CNE
(Canadian National Exhibition)
(there will be lots of fireworks tonight!).
So she buys herself a brand new journal,
Ah, distinctly I remember. The CNE, the Air Show, Fireworks. Staples of my "growing up" years in Toronto.

ReplyDeleteI made friends with the chief pilot of the Snow Birds a while ago. We spent the evening drinking beer in the Grand Bend area. I expect he is retired now. Glad you are feeling better.
