Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

...and winter came...

We had a wee snowstorm last night.

Outside looks a lot like the photos above.
These pictures are not mine, they are from
Go and have a look, she takes beautiful photographs.

Today, I think I will bundle up and take some snow-shots of my own.

  1. Hello Jacqueline

I love your own photo. I wish you a day of peace, joy and creativity. Looking forward to seeing your posts
Oh and stay warm and make soup!

    Helen xx

    1. Thank you was a beautiful 2 hours of walking in the crunchy snow, taking photos and enjoying the big beautiful blue skies.

  2. I believe you have more snow than we do on the prairies. Bundle up and stay warm. Cocoa, comforters, and camera may be the order of the day. Enjoy!

  3. Your last picture is gorgeous; I can just imagine the crunching of the that glistening snow as someone steps on it for the first time. I so miss the seasons living in Spain :-(

  4. Oh wow - look at all that snow. Makes me feel cold. J, love your new avatar.

  5. Our brief dalliance with snow beauty is now just a distant memory. Back to the usual rain and mud. Blaahh. Cheer me up with your photos please.

  6. Pictures of snow are always wonderful to look at. Shoveling snow is not so wonderful.

Go on...make my day...
