Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

I Love You More Than You Can Ever Know

"Hi Babe."

"Hi Hon...how did it go?"

"Well, it was always a choice between bad and worse...we knew that right?"

"Yes, okay, so?"

"Well, it's only bad."

"Meaning?"

"Prostate cancer...but confined, moderate and curable."

"Okay, so...what do we do now?"

"Urologist, oncologist...and we make a plan."

"You okay?"

"I'm fine...you?  Worried? Scared?"

"All of the above, I guess."

"Do you have any idea how much I love you."

"Sure...just as much as I love you."

"Are we going to be okay?"

"Yes...we are going to be fine."

  3. Dear Jacqueline,
I know how dificult those words are to hear. Just focus on the words "curable", and "we will be OK".

Everything you know, tells you this is true.

    Hugs,
    Arleen

  6. Of course you're going to be fine. You know that. We know that.

But this all has a high "nuisance value," just the same. Nuisance. Boo! Hiss!

Extra doses of blessings and Bear hugs all round!

Dear beautiful Jacqueline, I had to read this again, to make sure I got it right.....I think the good operative words to focus on are all of them, confined, moderate , curable...This is good....my brother in law who lives in NOTL was diagnosed with the same 4 years ago, completely cured! I send you all my warmest hugs and love.....Let's visit soon, when you are ready. N.XOXO

  16. Oh, J...I'm so sorry, you both have been through so much lately. But I have to tell you, a dear friend AND my Uncle, have just gone through dealing with PC...and both are doing well. There are two types of treatment...one chose one, and the other chose the other, if that makes any sense, and so far so good, both are winning the battle.
Prayers are with you both for strength and comfort as you deal with this...it CAN be overcome, remember and 'know' that.
Big hugs Jacqueline, to the both of you...
    xo J~

  17. It's all about being able to visualize the light at the end of the tunnel Jessica. I do trust his doctors...we have spoken with two treatment centres and both came up with the same protocol...and, as I mentioned before, right now he looks and feels fine. We just have to maintain that as best as possible.
Thank you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. They are so very much appreciated right now.

  22. OMG!! I never expected to read this. J' PLEASE read 'Anti-Cancer' by Dr David Servan-Schreiber. It is written by a French Neurologist who cured himself of cancer after doctors gave him months to live; that was 20+ years ago. Ironically his Oncologist who didn't believe diet had anything to do with cancer, succumbed himself to the disease, and the "patient" is still alive and kicking.
Sending you payers and hugs from Spain Jacqueline xx

  23. Thank you Vanessa...I too believe we are more than the sum of our parts and EVERYTHING counts...diet, exercise, attitude, prayer...it's all important.
Again...your good thoughts form part of the white light of healing, for all of us.
    Thank you.
