Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

Sultry Summer Evening

A hot and hazy evening in Niagara-on-the-Lake...

the town is busy, but silent...

 everyone hanging their heads...

searching for places
and empty spaces...

to catch lake breezes.

finding different ways to cool off...

as the sun goes down...

and we prepare for a busy weekend of celebration...

  1. I was just thinking 'there's something radically wrong with that yacht', when I realised there were TWO.

I don't know what you're celebrating this weekend, but have a great time. Cro.

    1. Canada's Birthday Cro - July 1 and the continuing celebrations (all year) of the bicentennial anniversay of the War of 1812. We have 20,000 people coming into our little town (population 12,000) to attend a Tragically Hip concert on the Commons tonight - it's going to be quite a weekend!
