Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

Rosie wins Trampoline Gold!

Canada's first Gold Medal of the 2012 Olympics

GO CANADA!

Now I want to see GB's Jessica Ennes win the Women's Heptathalon.

Divided loyalties in these most wonderful games.

  1. Wasn't it great to see Rosie win the gold!!! I know what you mean about divided loyalty. The Brit in me is quite proud of how well team GB is doing at these games.

    1. I'm a bit OCD about these Olympics Jacqui...have to tell myself every now and again to turn OFF the TV and go outside and play!

I love that we are namesakes AND English girls AND adopted Canadians...so nice to have so much in common!

    1. This type of event so appeals to my obsessive/compulsive side Relindis! I do, however, take exception to the Federer/Williams/LeBron/Bryant/Murray/Jokovic competitors...what the heck are they doing at the olympics?
Give me speed walking, archery, shot put and any other orphan sport and I am so there right now.

  5. Look out for Goldie Sayer next week. This Javelin thrower went to my alma mater, and is the daughter of the late Pete Sayer; singer. Go Goldie!

Aren't the Olympics supposed to be for 'amateurs'?
