Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

Vernal Equinox

"spring cleaning...let the games begin.  Moving out the dust and dirt accumulated in all the nooks and crannies over the winter months of closed doors and windows.  Not just in  house, but also in heart.  It's time to visit each room and lovingly clean every square inch.  Discard the old and useless, that which no longer serves; things, practices and beliefs.  Make room for the fresh and inspiring.  Put on a mantle of cleanliness, openness, willingness.  Welcome Spring, welcome new beginnings..."JP

  1. Love this. Cobwebs do tend to gather more in the winter, don't they.

    1. Two hours in Sock'em and I've finished the powder room and front hall (including the bottomless pit called a coat closet!) Stopping for tea just now and then on to the laundry room!

  3. Been busy painting the kitchen today. Love your blog post J and pictures. Only four days until spring even if the weather doesn't quite believe it.

  4. Hello Jacqueline
I have been doing the same here and disposing of unnecessary items. Even here in the sunshine state, the dust accumulates and discarding is vital.
    Hope your week is special

    1. I totally agree Helen...no matter the climate, we all need to clean up and clean out in order to move forward. If not, we stagnate. It will be a special week because at the end of it, new opportunities will flow!

I want to think of it as a kind of lovemaking

  6. That's how it all works, the yin and yang of life...it's now time to welcome in joy, happiness, health, abundance...becoming in alignment with all that is happening around you in the natural world.
