Over the next couple of weeks both my girls will
be celebrating their birthdays. They were born two years, all but a week
apart... to the day.
Eldest daughter left today to visit with younger daughter so that they might
celebrate their birthdays together (in a rather nasty snow-storm I might add!).
I love this.
I love that they haven't allowed distance to separate them one
little bit. They were each other's best friend growing up and they both actively
continue that relationship.
They first were separated when Lindsay went to Pittsburg to University and we were living in Atlanta. Then we moved with Jessica to Thailand.
Jessica then went to Ottawa and Lindsay to New York.
Then Lindsay went to London and Jessica followed a year later.
Then Jessica moved to Toronto and Lindsay stayed in London.
Then Lindsay moved to Toronto and Jessica moved to Miami.
(...are you getting the picture here...)
Eldest daughter has big plans for younger this weekend...can't divulge, might spoil the surprise.
I love that too. That they care deeply about each other's happiness.
Hurray for sisters.
