Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

J.  Good Friday...and this is just my viewpoint...
One question has plagued me for years..."Why did He have to die?  Wouldn't it have been SO much better for Jesus to have preached for 30 years instead of three?  Think how much MORE we could have learned.
So here I have been, while making the bed, while walking the girls to school, while cleaning the cupboards, constantly asking myself WHY?
It wasn't until I read Salley Vicker's, Mr Golightly's Holiday that I got it.
He didn't.  Have to die, that is. That's what free will is all about.
It all could have played out so differently if we (the big we that is) had exercised a different option.
Now I understand there are those that believe in the pre-ordination thing and I do not mean to offend.  But pre-ordained ~ free will...don't they contradict?
So tomorrow, in my own, very small way, I will empathize with God the Father...who lost a child.  How utterly, heartbreakingly human is that?
Sunday...the resurrection...a whole different conundrum for me.   I'm working on it.
V...?
