Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

J.  Almost there!  Moving counter-clockwise (sort-of) round the room:

Hanging rods still to be installed left of the shoes

with valet pole!

hanging to go above the Japanese cabinet

one of my favourite pieces.

The sitting area at the end of the closets.

and finally, we are back in our bed!

So there's still rods to fix and clothes to sort and pictures to hang...but I am such a happy girl!

  4. Love your closets & you will love that valet pole. I put them in every closet - great for hanging the cleaning, pulling out tomorrow's outfit, packing for trips, etc.

Love the rug in front too! Goes without saying that the crown moulding is fabulous.

But the winner? Your black shutters! They're incredible - they just pop!

I hope you'll post more photos of your house - I love seeing the treasures from your travels & "postings" abroad.

I absolutely love the crown moulding...as horrible as living through the process was, the result is stunning!
