Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

  1. One can tell you and V. are definitely related (exquisite taste both of you), but you each have your own unique style. I love your black shutters...they show off your beautiful trim so nicely, I think we have the same base molding. All of your art work and the way you've hung it is wonderful also...thanks for the generous peak!

btw- I've edited my pasta recipe...it was supposed to be zest of 1 lemon and juice of two...not the other way around!

  3. Jessica...thanks for the nice words, and I'll be sure to change the recipe before I try it (might be a tad bitter otherwise!)

No worries there Tom...V and I don't compete, just inspire each other!

  4. All looks so wonderful J.
And I am so fortunate to have had the pleasure of being J's guest 'many' times in her beautiful home.
It's true Tom, J and I don't compete...and the most lovely thing is this...we have always wanted the very best for the other.

  6. Please Jacqueline...don't say such things, you least of anyone are the i-word!!
Thank you for thinking of me though...we're in insurance limbo at the moment and there have been no repairs becuse of all the hoops we have to go through. All in good time...we can live here quite well for now (the ants are behaving themselves), and hopefully in about a month we'll move so the demolition can start.

Thanks so much for your care...xo J~
