It's been a really crummy week.
People who don't deserve to draw breath have been behaving
very badly.
And, like the idiot I can be sometimes, I have
given them power over me by falling prey to their bullying ways.
Well, no more.
Just because someone says it, does not make it so.
Do your worst.
I live in the safety of my conscience.
I know I am a good person.
Whatever happens happens...but in the meanwhile
the sun continues to rise,
beauty surrounds me
and love lives in my house.
Do your worst I say... you are NOT going to steal my joy.
Jacqueline, Must be a vibe in Southern Ontario this weekend. Have a whole lot of bad energy flowing around my life too.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great week and an end to bad spells.
Chania
Tell me who is upsetting you, J, and I will get on the next plane to Toronto and beat the living daylight out of them... if I think they deserve it. Otherwise, I will cast spells from a sacred site here in England... if you provide a link for me...
ReplyDeleteLast night I was playing russian roulette with my bible and fell upon II Timothy where perserverance and a clear conscience were discussed - lead into this morning at church, where perserverance and a clear conscience were discussed...lead into your blog, where you are discussing perservering and knowing that your conscience is clear (and safe)...Do you think *someone* might be trying to tell us something!?
ReplyDeleteFocusing on all that is right and beautiful is a balm to the heart and soul, they're gifts really, and helps us to perservere amidst all mayhem.
You keep "telling em" and stay strong! Have a lovely, peaceful and beautiful Sunday...xo J~
Chania, Tom, JessicaYou are all 'right and beautiful' and thus balm to my soul. Thank you for your support.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing I would like more Tom that to watch you 'beat the living daylights' out of them. I think you might have to get in line behind Rudy!
This too shall pass...for you too Chania.
Right is Might!
Jacqueline...you have the right thoughts here and you are right...no one can steal your joy. I have a feeling too if they did there would be no reckoning with you! I enjoy your expression....'love lives in my house'. Amen to that!!
ReplyDeleteJeanne :)
Thanks Jeanne. Time to walk the walk. I've been preaching to my kids their entire life that "just because someone says it, doesn't make it so"...now it's my turn to believe in it.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate everyone's support...it means a lot!
...when someone tries to hurt my sister they hurt me too...so thank all of you for standing by J. with your words of support and kindness.
ReplyDeleteAnd Tom I somehow believe you are that guy, you know the kind that J. talks about..the 'good guy', the kind that this world needs more of! The kind of guy that a sister needs!
Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry someone has decided to use you for target practice. Having worn a bulls eye on my back at one time, I know how unsettling this can be.
You know you should just shake it off, they have no merit, but it gets under your skin and it's hurtful and the anger boils up and permeates your days.
Of course you know you are the better, bigger person, but it can be difficult to completely shove all the angst aside.
It took me over 50 years to learn, but forgiveness really does the trick. It sets you free and there is the added bonus of driving them crazy because nasty, snarky beings never understand.
It is very hard to achieve (like 50 years hard) but it does work...
If it doesn't - unleash Tom at 'em. Wish I had a Tom...
Happy Days this week.

That's the spirit, Jacqueline, onward and upward and vanquish the baddies. Who cares what they think anyhow.
ReplyDeleteAstonishing how much power we give to the bully isn't it! Well it's Monday morning, a new week and for me a fresh attitude.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming along on the ride with me everyone.
United we stand!
Good for you!!!! Don't let the losers of the world get you down -- squish them like bugs and don't give them a second thought!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be blogging about my secret vacation location soon.... I want to go there now too!!
