Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

  1. I can't not think of you and luggage V., but for that morning in Rome when you had to drag that leviathan of a suitcase across all those cobble-stoned streets on the way to the train station!
Our hotel was so close to the station that cab drivers laughed at the very idea of driving us there.

  3. Ha ha! Good job you weren't in London. A friend of mine hailed a cab because it was raining and he needed to take some papers to another office about one street away. The driver took him all around, across the river and back again, then stopped outside the office - 300 yards away from where he picked him up - and asked for £35. My friend gave him £5, and the cabbie said, "Sorry - I thought you were Australian"
