Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

On being famous!

Number 1. Fame!
What does being famous really mean...for me it's not about my name in lights or being a star on hollywood boulevard. It's about being able to give my gifts joyfully and having the world recognize my effort in return. It's about being able to shine in a way that the world responds with a thank you and affirms that what I am and what I do in life is important.
This can be recognized in the simple form of receiving a drawing from a child...
... or a card from a friend
'...it was such a joy to meet you Victoria,
I loved your beautiful spirit and energy...'

Isn't being 'famous' just grand?

  1. I used to think that being a famous writer was the best sort of fame - you are able to wander around without receiving the sort of attention that Johnny Depp gets when he goes into my pub. When people think they know you, they think they know all of you. Infamy has the same effect. This is why I am horrid to children and everyone else - I wouldn't want them to get the wrong idea about me.

  2. P.S. I am told that when two strangers meet who happen to be world-famous, it is a VERY strange situation indeed.

  3. I don't think I would like fame in any form. It always smacks of surrendering something. There's a lot to be said for anonymity!

  4. you know J. it's all part of the cycle that the brilliant universe wants us to follow...start your journey look at what your beliefs are in connection to what you feel about what you can accomplish in the world, then learn about yourself and what your personal needs are, be still feel your own strength, listen to the wisdom of your family heritage it tells you about your dreams and desires, create abundance in your life open up to being yourself to live those dreams, then stepping into your gifts and sharing them with others the world recognizes you and your efforts, you then feel ready to share yourself with another in the form of a relationship of trust, openness and shared support with another, from here we bring forth creativity, and as this is the natural result of receiving it manifests in the form of children or a creative project, so now you can share your gifts with a lover or spouse or child or community, it then draws all the other energies of your life story and connects you with a cosmic energy that calls you to ask for support from spiritual sources and heavenly beings as well as your earthly neighbours, from here you can travel, and when this circle is complete all the energies meet to combine and balance you to be able to nuture and support yourself in complete harmony.
So I ask you J. to please not limit your greatness, do not be anonymous...be large and let yourself receive all the fame you truly deserve.
