Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

Abundance

This time of year is all about abundance...

all the harvests coming in at once

overwhelming us with fruit, vegetables,

storms,

hurricanes.

Nature doesn't differentiate...

just gives us, all at once, exactly what we ask for...

we just have to know how to deal with it all...

to be thankful...

appreciative...

to take care of each other...

and to prepare for the lean times.

  2. 'Abundance', unfortunately, also rhymes with 'waste', which I hate. You've prompted me to get on with my preserves this afternoon. Even in this heat!

There is 'enough' for everyone, always, Rob-bear...if we only would realize it.
    To work Cro! To work!

  6. We all have something to be thankful for, some more so than others. The important thing to know is that money can't buy happiness any more than it can buy a dying man time so we have to make the most of what we have.
