Beauty in the Ordinary
This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl
What lovely images - Isn't the last one Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn?
ReplyDeleteAudrey H. and George Peppard JohnD...Breakfast at Tiffany's...the perfect movie for a rainy afternoon!
DeleteWell, Forgive me on the CG/GP mix up but I could never get that Audrey Hepburn profile wrong.
DeleteAnd yes, a delightful movie - they don't make them like that any more!
JohnD...my darling man...no apologies necessary! Delightful movie indeed!
DeleteIf you don't have showers, you can't have flowers. Love your pictures J especially the lush green one.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the most fabulous pathway Molly...I love it too!
DeleteHi Jacqueline. Your beautiful post romanticizes rainy weather (you would love Ireland). I actually like rain too. Once dressed properly, all weather is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time

Nothing more beautiful that a soft Irish rain Helen!
DeleteAh, such romantic pictures and thoughts. Wonderful. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHowever, every time it rains, it rains acid from heaven. Such is the nature of pollution on our continent.
I love you Rob-bear...go back to sleep.
ReplyDeleteWith rain becoming a rare commodity, we all need to look at it differently. We could use some here; I might even dance the Polka. Or wear Polka-dot-gumboots.
ReplyDeleteNow that I would pay money to see Cro!
ReplyDeleteAs I was getting up this morning we had a brief, spectacular hail-shower...haven't seen one of those in a long time.
Beautiful Jacqueline...the very best of rain! It was bucketing down when we left NYC yesterday morning, up to then it has been mild and blue skies...I was so thankful! Although, sometimes you just need a rainy day...for all the reasons you just described. :) xx
ReplyDeleteInto each life a little rain must fall? Right Jeanne?
