Beauty in the Ordinary
This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl
WOW! Lucky you!

It's a lovely little town Z. Still a little on the cool side today, but sunny as all get out!
DeleteOh very nice, what a pretty place! I went for dinner in that Prince of Wales hotel once! It's lovely! :-)
ReplyDeleteI was up and out before the hordes of tourists descended Clare...just kidding, we love tourists, they keep our town vibrant and alive!
DeleteI'd like to live in your beautiful, civilized surroundings.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your new profile pic Mise...very elegant you and daughter!
DeleteRain, mud, and smelly dogs here.... I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteSwap places with you Cro?...Nah, don't think so today! LOL!
DeleteThe blossom and bulbs are gorgeous this time of year. Our daffodils are starting to fade now and the cherry blossom's gone and the trees are covered in green/gold leaves.
ReplyDeleteA really early spring for us here Molly...daffodils and tulips are up and all the fruit trees are starting to burst. Such a pretty time of the year.
DeleteThank you - those photos bring back very happy memories of our day there - long before the dementia hit. I think it was my favourite place of our whole trip which also included travelling around the U.K.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet of you to say that SH. Hope things are going well. I keep you in my thoughts and prayers all the time.
DeleteMost of the flowers you have now, have come and gone here. They were 4 weeks early. As much as I enjoyed them, having them so soon, gave me an uneasy feeling. I have enjoyed the warm winter, and early blossoms, but it is not normal for our area, and I am in fear of what summer may bring. The past two summers have been tremendously hot, and I was hoping fo more traditional weather. However, there is no control over this, so it is about accepting and making the best of whatever is.
ReplyDeleteTrue serenity Sock'em, accepting the things we cannot change, having the courage to change the things we can, and wisdom to know the difference.
DeleteWhile the weather has been sunny here, it's still on the chilly side, so we are edging into Spring slowly. It was actually warmer in February than now!
What? No LILACS???
ReplyDelete;-)
(they're my favorites)
Coming soon Nancy K. We aren't quite in lilac-time yet.
DeleteHi Jacqueline, I love visiting NOTL, it is so charming and I have my fav shops there....yes the blossoms are so early this year, usually we see them around Mother's Day and Jordan is the same...a quick fleeting Spring I'm afraid! Summer in Niagara is gorgeous with our vineyards and orchards, so there is more to come! N.xo
ReplyDeleteWe are so lucky Nella...this area offers the most wonderful landscapes. From the barrenness of winter across the escarpment, breathtakingly stunning when the cold winter air makes everything so clear, to the heady, humid days of summer when the peaches sit full and ripe, dripping sweet juice on the trees. I love this part of the county!
ReplyDeleteSO beautiful, Jacqueline! As bad as our society often is, our world is still heartbreakingly beautiful...sometimes you just need to know WHERE to look, and HOW to see...♥♥
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Anne
You are so right Anne...life is about attitude! Have a lovely weekend yourself
