Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

  1. It is always one day at a time for me. Life has been difficult lately, so I try to take everything positive out of them so I can go forward.

All the best to you Jacqueline.

  2. I used to subscribe to the 'Safety last, live for the moment' school of life. Now I agree with you wholeheartedly, and appreciate even the tiniest of 'blessings'. My very best wishes to you and Mr J, Cro xx

  7. J, I think, for a lot of us, last year was more difficult than most. I didn't do any planning at Christmas and it just happened with all my precious family around me. Strangely enough it was one of the best Christmas's ever. It's hard to think beyond tomorrow even, at this moment in time and I know it must be the same for you. This is a lovely post - thank you for posting it and my hands reach out to you for the year ahead xx

    1. While out on my bike today Molly, I was trying to understand the lesson in all that happened last year. I know, for sure, that neither your family nor mine deserved to have any of this happen, so the lesson must be in how we deal with it.
My muddled reaction right now is to go slow, be thankful and cherish everything - and that includes the rubbish! LOL!
Like you, there was very little planning or control around this holiday - we just got on a plane and headed to our kids...and we too have had the best time. Strange what we think we know!
Here's to you and Mr M...as John the Dogs would say - let's Go Gently.

    1. Without question Nella...and I didn't need last year to teach me that. So I struggle with the lesson in all of this, hence the need to take it one day at a time.
