Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

One Last Blast?

http://prettie-sweet.tumblr.com

'sloppy wet snowflakes falling this morning.  No wind to toss them around as they fall in straight lines down from the sky.  Temperatures high enough to turn snow instantly to water as they touch down.  Old Man Winter having a last laugh as he folds up his tent and prepares to move hemispheres.  No signs of Spring here just yet.  Crocuses, daffodils and forsythia still resting in utero.  The only reassurance for now of time inching forward is Mr. Robin stalwartly pulling worms from a semi-frozen ground.  One more day of warm food, comforting fires and summer dreams."JP

  1. It's been really cold here over the last few days; we even had another fall of snow. But, like you, I think it may soon be over. Spring is on its way.

  9. We have many robins right now. I was able to work in the yard yesterday and left my sweatshirt on the porch--the dog lay on it--it was lovely. My apricot is about to bloom.
