Beauty in the Ordinary

This is not about being brilliant, or extraordinary, it's not about wanting to be famous, or making headlines, or trying to impress...this about sharing a 'gift' each day with the world...to lift the spirit of people when they read this blog, to show them the beauty in the ordinary.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Raold Dahl

Bread

Yesterday, thanks to my dear friend Mary,
I made this:

When she was visiting last weekend,
Mary showed me this video

Here's the recipe:

The recipe differs from the video slightly.  I used the video amount of water (1-1/2c),
but baked it at the recipe temperature 450 degrees.

For real, there is no kneading...it's the simplest bread recipe I have ever tried.
And...it's delicious.

  1. That looks amazing. I am an avid baker, however I have never made bread. I certainly will try this, it looks so easy.
